This free digital publication is a compilation of tips collected by The eLearning Guild from its members. It offers a set of tips to assist teachers, online-learning managers and e-learning design teams to improve their knowledge and skills in online instruction. The tips are loosely organised under headings for instructors, managers, design and development teams, and implementation.
The eLearning Guild developed the publication following a member survey conducted in early 2005 on the subject of synchronous instruction. The last item in the survey asked members who had online instruction experience to list their favorite tips to share with other online instructors; a total of 336 members contributed usable tips. There is no charge for this, and The Guild does not require downloaders to provide their email address or any other identifying information in order to access the PDF file.
